WHAT WE DO
WHAT WE DO
SHERWOOD MISSIONS
From our founding in 1920 to today, Sherwood remains committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to people all around the world. We support local, domestic, and international missionaries, as well as several organizations.
SHERWOOD KIDS
We welcome children to participate in the first half of the morning service, and then they are dismissed to Children’s Church for the remainder of the service time.
Wednesday evening’s focus is AWANA, our outreach ministry geared towards sharing the gospel with children (K-8th grade). Children are encouraged to memorize Bible verses, share and learn during Bible teachings, participate in fun games, build positive friendships, and learn what it means to have a relationship with God.
SHERWOOD STUDENTS
Students meet during the second hour of the Sunday service for continued teaching. They also gather together on Sunday evenings for activities, service projects, worship, and Bible Study. On Wednesday nights the youth participate in Trek (part of the AWANA Club) or serve in other children’s clubs.
SHERWOOD MEN
Our men meet monthly for a fellowship and prayer breakfast to encourage one another through the sharing of personal testimonies and Biblical teaching. We also have annual events such as the Fathers and Sons Retreat, BBQ, and Trap Shoot. Many of our men serve in various capacities on Sunday mornings as well.
SHERWOOD WOMEN
Our women enjoy gathering often for shared meals, crafting events, and other activities focused on creating and shaping God-honoring friendships. Our women also host baby showers, receptions, funeral meals, and offer meal benevolence when needed.
